MSWG Engineers works with architects, owners, and developers, we have been planning and executing engineering designs for fifty-two years for clients in the residential, corporate, commercial, institutional, governmental, industrial, health care, religious, athletic, educational, and entertainment fields.
Our engineers are successful in meeting our goals of satisfying project objectives by placing continued emphasis on designs that fulfill the owner’s criteria in keeping with current construction materials and practices, federal and state laws, regulations, codes, and permits. Our standard of practice always includes sensitivity towards providing cost-effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions to each design opportunity.
Harold F. McKnight, P. E. founded McKnight Engineers in 1967 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Today, the firm consists of 15 employees and has completed approximately 7,500 projects.
Our professional engineers are leaders in the engineering profession and are active in the National Society of Professional Engineers, Professional Engineers of North Carolina, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
Our interns, designers, technicians, and support staff take full advantage of our company’s continuing education plan keeping current with information and requirements applicable to our engineering disciplines. In 1990, for recognition of our record and improvement of the engineering profession through our development of new designs and engineering practices in accordance with professional standards, we were awarded the NSPE Professional Development Award.
