J. Craig Champion

Principal-in-Charge

Craig has thirty-four years of experience in mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression engineering design, consulting, and project management.  Craig is involved throughout the life each project, directing engineers, designers, draftsmen, and computer staff in producing designs, drawings, and project documents.

Brian-Scott

Brian Scott Counts

Principal-in-Charge

Scott has over twenty years of experience in HVAC design engineering and is responsible for engineering design, preparing specifications, quality control review and coordination, and construction administration.  He has designed projects that have achieved LEED NC and LEED CS certification at the Silver and Gold levels.  He has a wide array of experience across multiple engineering disciplines and brings a valuable perspective to the integrated design approach.

Project Experience

Scott Counts has experience in project management and design of HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems for new construction and renovation projects for a variety of building types.  Some of these projects include Commercial Office Buildings, Factory-Industrial Buildings, Multifamily Buildings, K-12 Educational Facilities, Higher Education Facilities, Medical Office Buildings, Government Buildings, and Performing Arts Centers.

Matthew

Matthew D. Knotts

Electrical Professional Engineer

Over the past twelve years, Matthew has gained direct work experience in electrical, fire alarm, and communications design and consulting.  He has designed commercial, state, and military building electrical systems for facilities as large as 60,000 square feet; drafted commercial, state, and military building electrical systems as large as 170,000 square feet with Autodesk AutoCAD software; drafted commercial buildings as large as 60,000 square feet with Autodesk Revit software; and has performed Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Cost Estimating, and LEED studies for state, military, and commercial construction projects.

Project Experience

His experience in new construction and existing facilities includes power distribution & control, security, surveillance, door controls, intercom systems, telecommunications, interior and exterior lighting, uninterruptible power supply systems, emergency and standby power generation systems, and fire alarm systems. As a project manager, Matt is thoroughly involved with each project supervising engineers, designers, draftsmen, and computer staff in producing designs, drawings, and project documents.
